Drunk Prom Date's Music Fiasco

For the 10 th year in a row the 9 th annual New Times Music Festival has again shunned your favorite All Original Cover Band – Drunk Prom Date. Apparently the New Times despises DPD so much that they’ve actually thrown out the Best Cover Band category and replaced it with the Best Turntablist category. Being that Drunk Prom Date likes to rock we don’t understand the difference between the Best DJ category and the Best Turntablist category, but the New Times has both so I guess you can decide. Unfortunately they are without a category for bands who dress in ridiculous costumes to distract the audience from their lack of musical talent, which leaves DPD out in the cold for another year.

With that in mind Drunk Prom Date will be having its own little music festival this Saturday March 27th at The Vine in Ahwatukee (48th Street & Warner) and we’re asking everyone to please halt their subscription to the New Times. Only by canceling your daily delivery will they get the message that DPD fans want to hear it loud and are united. So let’s rally together and send a message to the mega-conglomerate, baby seal killing, oil spilling, corporation known as the New Times.

Let’s do a recap:

1. Read the College Times

2. See Drunk Prom Date on Saturday
